Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
A one hour class designed to build strength and increase flexibility by doing yoga postures with the aid of a chair. Participants may use the chair to help with balance or remain seated in it throughout the class.
Water Fitness: A one-hour low-impact water fitness class that focuses on basic moves and patterns to condition muscles, improve cardiovascular fitness, and increase range of motion.
Young at Heart: An aqua class for the mature adult who wishes to remain fit and active. Special consideration is given to arthritic joints and structural limitations
While meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends, experience an array of social activities including bus trips, luncheons, holiday parties and other social gatherings. Members enjoy connecting with one another in the coffee area and testing their knowledge in the weekly young at heart trivia, sharing recipes and homemade sweets. Our staff provides valuable information to improve quality of life and regular social occasions so that participants can enjoy the company of new found friends.
